Schools and Educational Institutions have mushroomed in our localities and neighborhoods. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that education has become a lucrative industry though some consider it as a social service to mankind.
Gone are the days when education was a luxury. Today every parent or guardian or Individual wants their ward or self to attain the best possible education. Today the choices are abundant and often its very confusing for the ward and the parent or the individual to choose his/her institution for studies.
Now that Schools and institutions are not short of courses, and since there has been a boom in institutions and schools, the quality of education has been a topic of debate for quite some time. Experts in the field of education, opine that the quality of skill sets imbibed by the students have been decreasing drastically.
Individuals or managements running educational institutions or Schools should always ensure that the Key Activities are efficient and effective. Education is something that needs continuous improvement over time. Institutions must ensure that their key activities are updated and the output they produce are highly skilled and competitive for the 21st Century.
Educational Institutions often lose their focus and run around investing in non-core activities which might not actually bring any real value for the student. Investments should be for value creation that can support and improve the core activities for which the institution was set up.
A lack of constant updation and research on the key activities and ways to improve them according to the need of the hour can have a very serious impact on educational institution. It can affect its brand name, and in the long run can lead to its closure too.
